My career has spanned 40 years including a break when our children were under school age. As a girl who was good at science in the 50s, I was encouraged into scientific research and gained an HNC in Chemistry. However no-one thought to ask me if I preferred working with test tubes or people and it was not until I returned to work after the children that I had chance to train to teach adults and specialised in training people with Special Needs.

At age 45 the huge opportunity arose to study in Higher Education for the first time and I graduated from Nottingham University in 1992 with a Masters in Human Relations in Education.

Since that time I have been a lecturer at South Nottingham College in personal and professional development covering a whole range of skills to build confidence and help people achieve their potential. Now that I have trained as a personal Life Coach, I am able to use all the skills and experience gained in the last 20 years. So here I am at 60 beginning an exciting new phase of my life!

I believe passionately that we all have the capacity to achieve our goals and fulfil our dreams if we are given the right help and support. As a coach I motivate and encourage people to take control of their lives, to find the right pathway and experience fulfilment as they live life to the full.
